The paper is divided ito two parts:
First 2 pages
Choose a scene from the text and revise it in order to have it express a new message about home, leaving home, or returning home. You may write the revision in the form of a story. Most revisions should be approximately 2 pages; some may be a bit longer.
Second 2 pages
In order to explain what revisions you made and why, please write a 2-page rationale specifying changes and how these changes would affect the meaning of the story.
PROCESS GUIDELINES
2. Figure out what message the scene is currently giving.
3. Decide how you would like to change the message to better fit contemporary times.
4. Brainstorm ways you might change the original scene to modify the message. Consider setting, character, plot, conflict, speech, and so forth.
5. Decide the format for your revision (story) and write a draft.
6. Write a rationale in which you identify the changes you made to the original text and explain how those changes affect the text’s meaning. Use standard features of an essay (introduction that identifies the project and the main points you’ll be making; body paragraphs to elaborate on 2-4 main points; and a conclusion). Use first person (“I”) rather than calling yourself “the author.”
7. Revise your text revision and your rationale, being sure to check the grading rubric for guidelines.
9. Once your paper is strong in terms of content and organization, proofread and edit to make your writing is clear, direct, concise, and correct.
(please make sure that all the information in the table was included in the paper )
