There are two portions to this assignment: the introduction to the paper and the review of literature.
The Study Guide suggests to begin the drafting process with the literature review instead of the introduction.
First, write your literature review, which should be at least 800-900 words. This is the minimum required. Literature Review requirements are listed and explained, as well as a sample to view in Lesson 3. There is another sample paper in Ask the Professor.
Second, write your introduction. The Introduction should contain around 9-12 well-developed sentences/approximately, 350 words. For more details about what is expected for each of the following sentences, please see “Lesson 4: The Introduction.” You may also want to review the “Example Introduction and Review of Literature. Also please view the syllabus for the exact items to be included, as well as the study guide, and always strictly follow the guidelines.
Upon completion, submit the APA formatted cover page, the introduction to the paper and the review of literature following, with the reference page.
Between the syllabus and the study guide, you will have detail requirements, as well as examples. However, you may also choose to seek out the guidance of the Success Center; the specialists are always there to assist you with your writing and comprehension.
