What is public policy? What factors affect its development? How do we know when a public policy is a success or a failure?

Project description
Answer any three of the following nine questions as thoroughly as possible. Answers should be coherent, well organized, and complete. Your answer to each question should range from 300 to 600 words. Your answers should reflect your understanding of materials from the readings, lectures, and discussions. Generally speaking, answers that are well written and easy to understand will receive higher grades than answers which must be read several times to determine their meaning. Answers that clearly link the general discussion to your specific policy arena will receive higher grades than answers that could apply to any policy. 1.What is public policy? What factors affect its development? How do we know when a public policy is a success or a failure?
2.What are the fundamental values of American society? Which of those values appear to be dominant in the public policy arena defined by your policy topic? Are these values complementary, in conflict, or both?
3.Who are the formal (official) actors in the policymaking process and what roles do they place in the overall policy process? Who are the critical actors in the policy arena of your topic and why?
4.Who are the informal (unofficial) actors in the policymaking process and what roles do they place in the overall policy process? Who are the critical actors in the policy arena of your topic and why?
