2- Donne and Milton explore the relationship between God and man. How does their approach or conceptualization of this relationship differ from what we saw during the middle Ages?
3- Consider Aphra Behn’s Oroonoko. What role do you see the narrator playing? Is the narrator trustworthy? Why or why not?
4- What do you think about the witty, metaphorical comparisons (conceits) that the Metaphysical and Cavalier poets use? Do they make the poetry easier or more difficult to understand? Which conceit is your favorite?
5- How does Twelfth Night portray love? Are there different kinds of love? What are they? Are some forms of love better than others? Why or why not?
6- How do the female characters and authors we’ve read this week answer the antifeminist stereotype that women are inherently less reasonable than men. Do they fight, manipulate, or confirm that stereotype?
