Content: Summarise a modern volcanic event that has been well documented and
include classifications and terms that we have used in the course (e.g.: calc alkaline;
stratovolcano/composite). Do not do Mt St Helens, Yellowstone or Mont Pelée.
References: Modern relevant references from journals should be included among the
references (use GeoRef or Geobase). References should be post-1990 in most cases
with at least 5 from 2000 or later. Reference style should follow the Australian
Journal of Earth Sciences. References (relevance + style): 15%
Illustrations/Tables: 15% These can be borrowed from the web or journal papers
but don’t forget to cite the figures in the text and provide references for figures in the
captions.
