Research a public or government organization that operates in the USA and offers ecotourism packages or options to their clients. The ecotourism experience can focus on the natural environment or the local people (or ideally, both). You may use the Internet, publications, books or brochures for your research. (Note: I’m thinking American Airlines for the company research, but you can do other companies that will work for this report.) I will give you the link for “Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria” from the UNWTO website and you should have minimum 5 criteria and Maximum 10 criteria that you feel are essential to evaluating the validity of a company’s claim to be “green”.) Include at least one way that the organization fails to meet your criteria and recommend improvements or changes that would bring it up to your evolution needs. I’m also attaching the assignment sheet and grade rubric for you to follow.
