Throughout this course, you will work on a research paper that arises from the case study, Threat of Terrorism: Weighing Public Safety in Seattle. The completed research paper must accomplish the following tasks:
• Define a problem or a question raised by the case study that warrants further research and examination (the paper will focus on the Port of Seattle and the Canadian Border with Washington State and the threat of terrorism those two areas pose).
HOW BIG IS THE TERRORIST THREAT TO SEATTLE’S PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOW CAN THE THREAT BE ELIMINATE OR REDUCED ON ITS BORDERS AND PORTS?
• Review the existing literature on the topic.
I will attach the references and literature review that was used for previous assignment.
• Define a method of examination for the question.
The final research proposal, which combines the topic, annotated bibliography, literature review, and research methods, is due in this module. The research proposal must be complete in all respects.
In evaluating whether you have met the outcome, we will be looking for:
• Critical evaluation of the theories used to support the arguments in the final paper.
• Identification of how the research can be used to support or refute criminal justice theories and also how the research can be used to influence policy making.
• Construction of a research design that utilizes sound methodology to investigate the research question presented in the paper.
Use qualitative and quantitative design and Explain how your approach fits into the research problem. In other words, explain how this approach to data collection will help you achieve your research objective.
The paper should be 20 pages long, typed double-spaced in 12-point font with 1-inch margins on all sides. Please use the APA format for writing and citations.
