1. Staffing – recruiting
2. Human Resource Development – growth, training, OJT, personnel development
3. Compensation – salary, benefits, etc
4. Safety & Health – how a safe working environment is ensured
5. Employee/Labor Relations – collective bargaining, unions, how are employees treated
