After watching the documentary “A More Perfect Union” and based on what you have read from Chapter 1 to Chapter 4 in the ebook, explain why today’s federalism is or is not an effective form of government for the United States. For instance who do you think should control immigration policy, the national government or the states? What if the executive branch is under-enforcing the law? Should states be able to step in and enforce congressional law?

Be specific in supporting your arguments using examples from the text and the video. Do not speak in general terms and do not use extensive in-text citations!

Remember to identify your sources, in-text citation should be limited to few words and requires a parenthetical citation, for example: (Smith). Then, provide a formal citation at the end of your essay.
