Description: This paper provides a detailed analysis of and arguments on one of the following case studies: “GE Confronts Fetus Bias,” or Google’s response to Chinese censorship. The paper will explain what moral obligations the company in the case study has according to the principles of the UN Global Compact. The author will discuss whether fulfilling these obligations disrupts or supports the constitutive communities of the local people. The paper then provides the author’s own arguments about the company’s moral responsibilities, and responds to significant criticisms.

There is no length requirement for this paper. It should be as long as it needs to be to fulfill the guidelines below. Completed papers should be submitted to the dropbox on D2L by Friday, May 1st. This deadline is much firmer than deadlines for previous papers.

Guidelines: The paper should include the following elements:
 Application: explain what moral obligations the business in the case study you have chosen from the list above has according to the UN Global Compact. Explain whether fulfilling these obligations respects or disrupts the constitutive communities of the local people.
 Argument: construct an argument to support your own opinion on the company’s moral obligations in this case.
 Response to Criticisms: Write about the strongest criticisms of your argument and conclusion. Construct your own argument to respond to these criticisms. Your response to these criticisms should add something new to the paper, not just repeat what you have already said.

a. Construct an argument to support your own view of the company’s moral obligations in this case. What do you think the company should do to behave ethically? Why?
4. Response to Criticisms
a. Consider the strongest criticisms of the argument you have given, and construct your own argument to respond to those criticisms.
5. Conclusion
a. Briefly describe what you have accomplished in this paper.
