What themes are associated with hip hop music?
While the mainstream hip hop music seem to be all about lavish lifestyle and misogyny, hip hop music and its main style of rap started out a consciences movement in the African American community to express themselves and shoe their perspectives on social themes and problems that faces them such as institutional racism and tough upbringings, it evolved into a popular art form through amazing lyricism and what some call modern day poetry.
