just answer questions plainly, this is not the main assignment.

Lesson Activity one
A class of primary school children were all measured and their heights recorded. The results were then grouped into 5cm groupings on the table below. Plot a line graph of this data:
Height (m)
Number of people
1.00-1.04
2
1.05-1.09
5
1.10-1.14
9
1.15-1.19

Science graphs always have the fixed data [the data which you have fixed the numbers for] plotted along the x-axis (horizontal) and the measured data (the results) plotted along the y-axis (vertical). Science graphs should fill the paper provided as much as possible [i.e. not be too small] and use easy, suitable scales.
Remember to label both axes. Science line graphs always have a best line drawn loosely between the points, but omitting any obviously anomalous points. The line should be drawn with a sharp pencil as one fine line, and not sketched in. You can use a computer if you wish.
Does your graph show a normal distribution as expected?
Lesson Activity two
Monohybrid Punnett Square
Curly hair is dominant over straight hair. A woman who is homozygous dominant for curly hair marries a man who is homozygous recessive for straight hair. Predict the outcome of their children.
C = Curly hair (dominant)
c = Straight hair (recessive)
Parents
Alleles?
Mum has curly hair
??
Dad has straight hair and is homozygous dominant
??
Now complete the punnett square:
Mum’s alleles
?
?
Dads alleles
?
?
What is the genotype ratio?
Phenotype ratio?
Complete the following using the same template as above:
Blue eyes is recessive and brown is dominant. A woman with brown eyes (heterozygous) marries a man with blue eyes who is homozygous for blue eye colour. Predict the outcome of their children.
Lesson Activity three
Now, it’s your turn with blood types. Remember blood groups A and B are co-dominant and blood group O is recessive. A woman who is heterozygous blood group A and a man who is heterozygous blood group B have children. What are the possible blood groups of their offspring? Draw a punnett square to illustrate it and predict the ratio.
Lesson Activity four
In mice, the alleles of the gene for coat colour are: B = black (dominant) and b= brown. The allele for ear types are L = long eared (dominant) and l= short eared.
When breeding two mice:
• BbLl (heterozygous for black and long ears)
• BBLl (homozygous black, and heterozygous long ears)
Use the foil method to determine the correct alleles and complete a dihybrid cross punnett square to predict their offspring. (Remember it should add up to 16 offspring in total).
Lesson Activity five
Klinefelter’s Syndrome [KS] is a genetic condition where the person has the sex chromosomes XXY. What gender do you expect a person with Klinefelter’s syndrome to have?
Use this article (http://www.patient.co.uk/health/klinefelters-syndrome ) to help answer the following questions.
1. What gender are KS people?
2. KS is a genetic condition but can KS be inherited?
3. How common is KS?
4. How obvious are the symptoms of KS?
5. What are the main symptoms of KS?
6. How is KS treated?
