ASB2017 – Principles of Project Management
LEARNING ACTIVITIES BREAKDOWN
Learning Activity 1
Title
Conceptualization and definition of Project Management.
Learning Objective
Conceptualize project management and define a problem to develop a Project.
Introduction
Project Management (PM) includes a number of processes which can help obtain a unique final result. To understand what the PM is we must understand two core concepts: project and management. .
We often confuse project with operations. For example, a project may be to build a plane, design a course, implement a software, assess an industrial process, or create a work of art. The operations are routine and permanent profiles such as control of human resources, accounting closing, the application of materials from suppliers, or the process of customer orders.
Moreover, the success of a project depends on multiple factors: proper leadership, proper documentation of each activity, excellent communication between everyone involved in the project from the user to the project team and still it cannot become successful if all the relevant stages are not considered.
In this activity you will answer the questions:
What is a project?
