Think of an example of a problem that you might be called upon to solve, either on your own or as part of a team. Discuss the methodology used in solving the problem. make sure to include these methods in the body of the paper: deduction – induction – abduction and Rationalism – Empiricism – Pragmatism.
Two possible examples would be
Example in criminal justice: How is a crime solved? Use a real case that has been covered in the news media or a fictional case presented on a program such as “Law and Order.” Do not merely narrate what happened. Instead, discuss the methodology used to solve the case.
Health Care: How is a new epidemic disease investigated? Or how has an existing problem been investigated? Choose a real problem, such as AIDS, or West Nile Fever. What methods are used to come to some understanding of how the epidemic is occurring and what can be done to prevent the spread of the disease?
