Do we need new rules to ensure gender parity in Canadian Politics.

Do we need new rules to ensure gender parity in Canadian Politics.Order DescriptionI am doing a debate with a partner. We are on the no side of this debateThe question is : Do we need new rules to ensure gender parity in Canadian Politics.Rules : Teams will be judged as one (everyone on the team gets the same grade). Points will be awarded based on the following factors: -Knowledge of issue -Variety and depth of arguments -Preparation for potential critiques -Clarity of presentation (coherent presentation, clear articulation, etc)What I need is to talk about the examples listed down that’s what am going to focus on in the debate :1. Trudeau’s 2015 Cabinet, 50% women and 50% male2. Other examples of rules in other countries that didn’t work to create gender parity (maybe they had equality for a short while but then the next government got rid of the rule, or something).3. Examples of countries who didn’t use rules to create gender parity, who managed to create gender equality using other methods.4. Rwanda. They have a sort of quota system / rule, but in that article we were looking at one of the last lines was “In Rwanda, the quota system is just a push, the rest comes naturally.” We could argue there are reasons Canada doesn’t even need that push. 5. No limitations at all / no laws or rules stopping females in Canada to equally participate in politics / process of running for election.6. Specific NGO’s or social movements (Canadian).7. Summary / conclusion
