1.        In BBC Radio 4’s radio programme, “Law in Action”, and specifically the episode “Sorting out Extradition and Prisoner Voting” broadcast on 6th and 8th November 2012, prisoner voting is discussed.  Do prisoners in the UK have the right to vote?  Support your answer with reference to the law (500 words);
2.        Read the judgment handed-down by Mr. Justice Griffith Williams in the case of Smith v Finch [2009] EWHC 54.  Was Finch liable for the injuries sustained by Smith? Was an award of “contributory negligence” made against Smith? Explain and support your answers to both of these questions with reference to the facts, legal argument and reasoning of the court in this case (500 words);
3.        According to s8 of the Accessories and Abettors Act 1861: “whosoever shall          aid, abet, counsel or procure the commission of any indictable offence…shall be liable to be tried, indicted and punished as a principal offender.”  With    reference to the facts of a decided case explain what is meant by the terms           “aid”, “abet”, “counsel” and “procure” (500 words)
