Consider three of the dynasties that we study in this course. (Tang, Sung, Ming. Chinese dynasty) Compare and contrast their diplomatic approaches and relations with the states with whom they were in contact. You may want to discuss their attitudes towards waging wars, their ability to maintain peace, their perceptions of other states and how diplomacy should be conducted, which dynasty you think was the most successful in terms of inter-state relations and why, etc.
