Artificial intelligence (AI) has been around since antiquity with stories and rumours about artificial beings provided with intelligence by an old artisan. Classical philosophers tried to describe the process of human thinking as the mechanical manipulation of symbols. This work led to the creation of the programmable digital computer in the 1940’s. Nowadays, Artificial Intelligence can be defined as the formation of intelligent beings. In today’s technological landscape, the development of AI may become one of mankind’s greatest accomplishments. This exploit is seen in animation in our modern world. For instance, Pixar Animation Studios also known as Pixar, is an American computer animation film studio based in Emeryville, California. Pixar began in 1979, and it is best known for its computer generated imagery-animated feature films created with PhotoRealistic RenderMan which is a programme used to generate high-quality images. In 1986, Steve Jobs became its major owner, however Walt Disney Company bought Pixar in 2006. One of the greatest achievements of Pixar is a movie called Wall-E .This movies arises an important question about technology: to what extent the should AI be used, and should technology be expanded in the future? and how will this expansion affect us as human beings?can we trust robots?will robots be able to acquire feelings?
In Wall-E, like in many other robotic movies, questions about AI, robots and technology are always present yet the answers for these questions are not easy to find. Artificial intelligence is moving so fast,robots are invading our lives.Siri can listen to your voice and find the nearest restaurant; and so the question arises: Can AI be used solely to improve our lives, while avoiding negative repercussions?
