Topic:Family life. Has the basic structure of the family changed in recent times? Is it important for children to be raised in a two-parent home? Have families become closer or more estranged in recent years?

Formatting: The essay must adhere to MLA style formatting and documentation guidelines. Formatting: double spaced, sized 12 font, Times New Roman, 1 inch margins. Documentation: Parenthetical Citations for references to sources within the body of the essay; a correctly formatted Works Cited page that lists all sources used in the essay.

Research Sources: You are required to use five (5) sources in your research essay. These five sources must be effectively incorporated into the content of the essay with the use of direct quotations and paraphrase. Acceptable sources are 1)newspaper articles 2)books 3)scholarly journal articles 4) magazine/periodical articles. Non news-source websites, blogs, and other internet content do not qualify as acceptable sources.

You must form a thesis statement that responds to the topic, and the essay should develop and support the thesis statement by using five acceptable research sources.
