There you will discover a rather extensive site devoted to an understanding of the “Noble Experiment,” America’s controversial attempt to eliminate the production, distribution, and consumption of beverage alcohol. Use the site to do some research on Prohibition and then write responses to all five (5) of the following items

1. Discuss the background of Prohibition. Who pushed it? What were its antecedents (background events and issues)?
2. Why did Prohibition come about in the United States?
3. What were the major arguments for Prohibition?
4. What were the major arguments against Prohibition?
5. What is your opinion of Prohibition? Are there lessons to be learned from it?
