Writing Assignment: Specifically discuss the various radiopaque contrast agents used in radiography, their purpose and the type used for specific exams, and their method of administration. Describe and differentiate between low and high subject contrast; negative and positive contrast agents, any complications to be considered, the benefit of non-ionic contrast agents, and how patient history might play a role. Discuss the radiography practice standards (Appendix A) with regard to contrast agents and the radiographers role of administering contrast. Writing guidelines: there is no page limit, but essay will be expected to address each of the above categories as well as your own reflections on what you learned from this assignment. Proper grammar and spelling are expected and the paper will be graded accordingly. There should be a title page that includes your name, date, course(this does not have to be a separate page).
