Prevention of Medication Errors in the Hospital Setting
Research studies on nursing issues that can improve nursing practice. The paper should be a college level 5 page paper (excludes the title and reference pages) which has 8 peer reviewed references, 5 of which must be actual research (preferably nursing however medical research may be used) – all references must be no more than 7 years old. No textbooks in this program may be used as references. Only 4 references may be from peer reviewed scientific websites such as American Heart Association. The paper must be in APA formatting, 6th edition, and use of APA formatting.
Scientific papers are written in third person, reasonably free of bias and require citation of written material throughout the text. Scientific writing is organized, concise and based on data. When discussing research remember to include the number of subjects, the methodology and the findings of the study. Remember you are not the expert you must cite credible authors for the material you have written. No student may use one author to cite another author; the citation must be from the original source. In the paper no direct quotations may be used, as the purpose of the paper is to assist you in writing in a scientific manner. Remember that the point of scientific writing is to communicate knowledge in the most concise and accurate manner possible. It is not a forum to convey your opinions or to paint pretty word pictures. Please remember when writing the paper that you do not make statements that the research study you are discussing proved anything. In scientific writing research supports or the findings indicate the .is how you discussion the conclusion of a research study.
