compare their approaches to the issue of inequality in American society. answer the following questions: How do these theorists explain or predict inequality in contemporary American society? How are their explanations similar and/or different? How convincing or unconvincing are their arguments in light of contemporary conditions in the U.S. today?
introductory paragraph stating which theorists you will be addressing and summarizing your major points.
The body of your paper should include four parts. First, a description of each theory, including definitions of its key concepts, the links between them, and predictions the theorist makes about future trends in economic inequality. Second, a description of how inequality operates in U.S. society, drawing on outside sources as necessary. You may choose to focus on the last decade, or you may more broadly discuss the trends in inequality over the last 25-50 years. You may also narrow your discussion to a specific form of inequality. Third, an assessment of each theory based on the evidence you have provided. Be sure to explain which parts of the theories are useful for understanding the trends or patterns in inequality that you have identified and which parts of the theory are not applicable and why. Fourth, an assessment of how similar and/or different the theories are in their approaches to inequality.
