In the first part, students are required to critically discuss five concepts related to the leadership quality about social competence and egocentric on the conceptual level (around 750 words).
In the second part, students are expected to evaluate the extent to which they possess this leadership quality based on a thorough reflection of their life experiences (around 750 words). First part requirements: Able to list five relevant concepts to attribute and correctly define each concept with own words
Able to appropriately cite references from multiple scholars and sources to support the linkage between concepts and attributes
Able to synthesize the concepts by stating how they are related to each other
Show personal insight on the concept
Demonstrate good understanding of the leadership attribute
Second part requirements: Provide clear and detailed account of personal experience relevant to reflection of the attribute
Show in-depth reflection (i.e. self-disclosure and sharing of feelings, thoughts and insights)
Demonstrate good self-understanding (e.g. reflects and identifies ones’ strengths and weaknesses)
Able to link/apply concepts discussed in Part A to reflection
Demonstrate appreciation for the importance of attribute in effective leadership or personal development (and/or professional development)
