I am writing dissertation about Independent magazines in UK and how can they compete with the major publications. For my research I need : 1. ‘discourses’ of new media and media economics. For example, theory on: digital economics, niches and long tail, new craft revival for print magazines, anti-mainstream culture…. It’s research that needs to be review to say that taste is changing and that indie magazines have a role to play. 2. Marketing Magazines and creating loyalty. Look at Brand Community Formation (Muniz and O’Guinn) or other theories of loyalty creation that relate to magazines. Lastly, I am not sure how many sources will you need for this. Thank you!

Dissertation is about independent magazines in the UK. The aim of this research study is to examine how independent bridal magazine can reach its readers through social media in order to compete with major publishing titles, to study what are the most effective methods to attract audience through specifically chosen platforms, and to indicate which elements are important when creating content.
Ideally, the outcome should say how BRIDAL independent magazine can compete with the leading publications by reaching its audience through social media.
