Discuss any limitations you may face in establishing your ideal democratic classroom, or in becoming the ideal democratic teacher. What are the forces that might place place limitations on you and your classroom? What are the forces, if any , that might support your classroom? Discuss whether they come from within the school or from outside, whether they are societal, economic, global, etc.

The intent of this assignment is for me to reflect on myself as a future teacher, on the type of classroom I will have, and the extent to which it will represent the ideal classroom in a democratic society. I have to provide my own definition of democracy in the classroom and of myself as an ideal teacher in that classroom. I have to address the following:

1. What will my classroom look like (seating arrangements, walls, etc?) what types of teaching methodologies, curricula and assessments will I use in regular basis? What are my priorities for teaching and learning(critical thinking, life-long learning, caring and nurturing individuals, etc.) what will my classroom management look like? How will I consider issuers of class, gender, race, ethnicity, language, sexual orientation, age and special need? How will I interact with other teachers in the school, parents, administrators and community members?

2. What, if any, changes to education policy at the state or national level might make it easier for you to live up to your ideals as a a teacher ?

It has to be Times New Roman font, in 12pt.
