Discuss aboy domestic violence by Henning and Connor-Smith

Write 4-6 (double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, 1 inch margins) pages covering three sections: 1) your introduction to your topic, 2) literature review, and 3) methodological choices for your final proposal (page suggestion not counting your title page, abstract page or reference section). You must select one of the five readings/topics listed below, which provides either a quantitative or a qualitative method. You may stick to the design offered by the selected reading for that half of the methods section, or improve it as you see fit. For the other half of the methods section, you will select from the options under the other approach. This will result in a mixed, quantitative and qualitative proposal. One half will be a partial to full replication of the selected article’s methods, the other will be your creation.
At the bare minimum, you should introduce your topic and provide some context for your reader (introduction), discuss the research conducted by other scholars that is pertinent to your topic/research questions/methods choices, provide the unique aspect or ‘gap’ your proposal addresses (literature review), explicitly state your research questions/hypotheses, independent and dependent variables (including operational definitions and levels of measurement for each), sampling strategies (including sampling types, frames, and justifications), your chosen methods (including method types and justification), how you plan on addressing quantitative reliability/validity and qualitative trustworthiness, how you plan on dealing with ethical issues in your design (informed consent, deception, level of protection), and data analysis plans (tailored to the variables and levels of measurement) (methods section). Remember to discuss both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the mixed methods design fully. Failure to address each and every one of these aspects will result in a reduced grade.
Provide a full reference list of your 5 or more external academic journal articles/books relevant to your proposal, using APA citation style, 6th edition. In terms of formatting, follow the instructions above and also be sure to include a running head with page numbers, a title page, and an abstract page (which obviously will not discuss findings). All guidance on formatting and citing with the APA style, 6th edition, can be found at: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/

WE HAVE TO THEN CHOOSE ONE OF THESE KINDS OF METHODS AND RELATE IT TO THE ARTICLE WE CHOSE AND DISCUSS HOW WE WOULD USE THIS METHOD:
1) Simple random sampling
2) Systematic random sampling
3) Cluster sampling
4) Stratified random sampling
5) Random-digit dialing

Choose 1 of the following to analyze your quantitative dependent variable:
1) Mean
2) Median
3) Mode

THIS IS THE BASIC GRADING PROCESS:
1. Context: How well do you introduce your topic and weave together the literature, discerning the important aspects of each piece (methods, topic, findings, etc.) and making the case for your proposal (research ‘gap’)?

2. Support: How much effort do you put into discovering and presenting relevant sources (using 5 or more pieces of relevant outside literature)?

3. Analysis: How well do you describe your methods/sampling/analysis choices (depth of discussion and understanding)?

4. Fit: How well do you make the case for the appropriateness of your method(s)/sampling/analysis for your research question(s) [strength of your argument for design-topic fit]?

5. Formatting/Writing Clarity: How well written is your proposal and how well do you follow the assignment instructions (citation, formatting, etc.)?
