2-AGREE OR DISAGREE AND WHY?

After reading carefully i believe that African Americans was protected by the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This law prohibitted employers from discrimination against color, race, sex, and religion and so much of that was going on during this time. Women ha sthe greatest impact on the workplace of the 20th century because they were allowed the same opportunities and jobs as men. They were able to vote and normally married women couldn’t work but that changed too.New technology and economic changes made work a little easier for them. Some women could even work from home and on the jobs they got equal pay as men. The number of women in managerial and othe rhigh paid jobs increased greatly for women during this time.

The hispanic class would have the greatest impact on the workplace in the 21st century. It is reported that the hispanic population will increase by 50% and they will make up nearly half the population in the US. one in ten Americans would be Asian or Pacific origin. Because of globalization  and it’s competition this will affect the type of work being done in American workplaces.Technology and computers will increase and work and skills will be redefined.

US companies could implement work/life balance is flexibility, telecommuting, and employee assistance programs. I don’t believe ther’s only one way to help out there’s alot of ways they just have to be willing to do it. By having these resources for your employees an employer can attract and retain quality workers. As a single mother of two small children flexibilty is a must for me. I don’t have a support system and i can’t work all kind of hours. The best hours for me would be during school/daycare hours and if an emergency comes up i need to be allowed to have that time too.
