Description

Integrated Supply Chain Entry-Level Position.

 

Eastman Chemical Company is actively recruiting candidates to fill entry-level full-time positions within our Integrated Global Supply Chain organization.

 

Entry assignments could have components of the following:

·         Process design to support new business opportunities

·         Six Sigma/Lean techniques (learn and use)

·         Benchmarking – Market analysis and industry structure assessment

Entry points for integrated Global Supply Chain could include those listed below:

 

Procurement:

·         Conduct procurement research and analysis

·         Evaluate and select suppliers

·         Evaluate supplier quotes on pricing and total cost of ownership to select best value

·         Analyzing existing contracts for improvement and/or consistency

·         Inventory management and strategy development

·         Negotiate and Develop contracts

 

Logistics:

·         Conduct network optimization analysis for transportation and/or warehousing

·         Evaluate intermodal opportunities

·         Maximize loading weights through analysis of loading patterns

·         Develop distribution design for new product line including transportation and warehousing structure

·         Assess logistics infrastructure improvement opportunities

·         Assess methodology for accruing distribution costs

·         Evaluate working capital management opportunities

·         Conduct procurement research and analysis

 

Supply Chain:  (Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, and Customer Service)

·         Conduct optimization studies on Supply Chain attributes such as inventory management, materials planning, and cost to serve.

·         Develop demand forecasting models

·         Work with project teams to implement software that supports Supply Chain processes

·         Research trends for global supply chains

·         Investigate and develop advanced Supply Chain performance metrics

Qualifications

Required Education:

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields is required:

o    Logistics/Supply Chain Management (or Business Administration with Supply Chain/Logistics Concentration)

o    Management Science

o    Chemical Engineering

o    Electrical Engineering

o    Mechanical Engineering

o    Industrial Engineering

·         OR

o    MBA/IMBA

Desired Skills/Attributes:

·         Excellent data analysis skills (including Excel, statistics, modeling/simulation, etc.)

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Strong planning and organization skills

·         High level of initiative and good judgment

·         Ability to work with multiple cultures and various levels of management
